What is elos technology?

How does cellulite treatment with VelaSmooth work?

The VelaSmooth treatment targets cellulite in four different ways.  Vacuum suction and massage form the mechanical rollers draw circulation into the local area for increased oxygen availability and manipulates the tissue, encouraging drainage of trapped fluids through the lymphatic system.  Heat from the infrared light source and the bi-polar radio frequency is deployed into the hypodermis breaking down stored triglycerides and resulting in the shrinkage of the fat cells.  This is how cellulite appears reduced even after only a few treatment sessions.  Focal aggressive treatment to specific areas such as “love handles” and “saddle bags” results in contouring of the area.

When can I expect to see results?

The initial treatment series consists of 12 – 16 treatment sessions performed twice a week.  Some patients see the improvements as soon as 10 – 12 sessions; others may need a full 16 sessions.  Maintenance treatments are typically done once a month after the initial series in order to keep up the results achieved.  Treatment sessions last between 45 – 60 minutes but depend on the patient’s size and number of treatment sites indicated.

There is often visible and measurable contouring of the lumps and bumps as evidenced by post-treatment photos and girth measurements.  Some clients see results after only 6 sessions, with circumferential reduction of up to 4.5 cms in the thighs, waist and hips.  Cellulite improvement is seen after 8 – 16 sessions in most patients.  A beneficial side effect of the VelaSmooth treatment is skin tightening while stretch marks may also improve.
